tour part 2: the house

In my hectic day of work (sarcasm), I managed to snap some pics of the house.

The black wall is actually a chalkboard.  When I arrived they had "Welcome Kaylee!" written on it.  They have also been drawing pictures and writing dutch words on it for me to learn (and amazingly enough, it's working!)

This week has been just as enjoyable as last week.  On Tuesday I made the trek from Maarssen (where I live) so Sander's house in Zeist.  It's a fairly long bike ride, but overall quite enjoyable.  It's so nice that we're close enough to bike.

Last night, I had a super Dutch evening.  Sander and I went to his friend Richard's house.  We had Hutspot for dinner.  It doesn't look very appetizing on google, but I swear, it tastes great.  It's basically potatoes, carrots, onions, and meat all mushed together.  We also played this super intense Dutch card game called Klaverjassen.  I believe it's some modified version of bridge.  It's difficult to learn, but once you have all the rules down pat, it's a lot of fun.  =)
